Charles R. Day MD, FACS

Dr. Day graduated medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1986. Immediately after he completed a 5 year residency and Board Certification in General Surgery at Keesler USAF Medical Center. After completing General Surgery, he began a three year residency in Plastic Surgery at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio Texas. Following his training, he was assigned as the first plastic surgeon at the world's largest military base - Ft. Hood Texas.

While establishing the military's busiest Plastic Surgery practice, he achieved Board Certification in Plastic Surgery. His practice rapidly evolved to offer full-spectrum services including digital imaging, lasers, endoscopic soft-tissue surgery, and microsurgery. In addition to his heavy clinical workload at Ft. Hood, he also served as lead agent for the Army's humanitarian missions to Honduras for congenital deformities such as cleft lip and palate.

Immediately after his departure from the military service, Dr. Day established Aesthetic Surgery Associates. Despite his broad practice experience, Dr. Day honed his interest in cosmetic surgery by completing additional fellowship training in oculoplastic and aesthetic surgery. During this fellowship he published articles on cosmetic surgery as well as authored a book chapter on browlifts. 

A personal interest in sophisticated technology has made him a nationally-recognized resource for educating other surgeons in digital photography at major society meetings.

Dr. Day is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and serves as a consultant for major medical corporations. He is the recipient of numerous military awards and honors.

Dr. Day has also served as Chief of Surgery for Metroplex Hospital and is currently Chief of Staff for Seton Medical Center Harker Heights.
